We got our baby back, baby back, baby back. . .

A nurse came by today and took a blood sample from our little guy. It went to the lab, the nurse called the doctor and checked with her on what to do. His bilirubin is down from 15.7 to 10.2. The doctor said to take him out of the bed for today and tonight and tomorrow he'll be tested again to see if he's keeping the level down without the light. For today we can hold our baby again. We haven't put him down for more than a few minutes since he got out. The nurse also weighed him and thinks he gained 3oz. . . while I doubt that, I think he is gaining weight on the new feeding system.

Jamie and Jenn - my son also had jaundice..but that was 30 yrs ago and all they did was an ultraviolet light and shades. Since he was such a difficult birth, I was in the hospital for 7 days. All that time when I would go to the viewing window to look in on him, other people would say, aww look at that one, he is blind. WTF! He was the only boy in the nursery and as luck would have it, I guess..the mother of his daughter was there too. Now he is married and expecting their first baby girl in Feb. I love your blog and will continue looking at how the baby Wyatt is doing. Huggs!!! Pam

Jamie....

You are such a great father for the way you have been handling his situation. Reading your blogs makes me even more excited about having a baby. I cant wait for my little guy to come. I hope everything comes back normal with the jaundice. I am sure that everything will be fine. You both look real good together in that picture. **Hugs**
