So we survived the weekend. We got the house in shape, finally picked a menu and the baptism went off without a hitch. Now her side of the family is satisfied that he won't be going to hell (or limbo or wherever those crazy Catholics think they go [you'd think I'd know this working at a Catholic publishing house]). My side of the family is a little less serious about it, but they were happy that we all got together.
An update on the shot front. . . 2 of the 4 shots bruised! We don't like the nurse that did them. She did them last time too. He bled and bruised and it's sad.

Don't you just wish you could somehow take the shots for them? I seriously LOATHE those visits to the doctor. Not that any visit to a doctor is usually great ...
Glad the weekend went well! Way to pull it off! Sorry about the bruising. :-(
Glad it all went well. We have to get Peyton baptized. It is the first thing that comes out of my MIL's mouth when we see her. I think we will just make them the godparents since they are the only good standing catholics we know.
Sorry about the bruising. I don't like the nurses at our pedi office either. They do one shot at a time, where at Carter's pedi where we use to live would bring in a bunch of nurses and they would do them all at the same time so it was like he only got stuck once, and they would also mix some into one syringe so he would get 3 shots in one. It was so nice. Not here where they stick wait, stick, wait and it is just torture.
